Business Coalition for Student Achievement - Part of the US Chamber of Commerce representing business leaders from every sector of the economy – believes that improving the performance of the K-12 education system in the United States is necessary to provide a strong foundation for both U.S. competitiveness and for individuals to succeed in our rapidly changing world. Ensuring that all students graduate academically prepared for college, citizenship and the 21st century workplace – there is perhaps no greater job the U.S. business community can undertake. The Partnership for 21st Century Skills - A national organization that advocates for 21st century readiness for every student. As the United States continues to compete in a global economy that demands innovation, P21 and its members provide tools and resources to help the U.S. education system keep up by fusing the three Rs and four Cs (critical thinking and problem solving, communication, collaboration, and creativity and innovation). While leading districts and schools are already doing this, P21 advocates for local, state and federal policies that support this approach for every school. The state of Wisconsin’s initiative called Route 21 puts this into action. State Superintendent Elizabeth Burmaster initiated and led Wisconsin’s 21st century skills initiative. Today, State Superintendent Tony Evers is leading and continuing to build on Wisconsin's 21st century skills strategy. Accelerating technological change, rapidly accumulating knowledge, increasing global competition and rising workforce requirements make 21st century skills essential for every student’s success.
